Another test confirms the quality of products. As requested by the independent expert Pelmar Engineering, Coral has submitted its carbon filler – a by-product of the tyre recycling technology for testing at TGL SP. The tests were very positive. The company has issued a report stating that the by-product  meets the mechanical and physical characteristics of carbon black N660.

Progress in Canada. Recent negotiations with government of Hamilton show positive results: an appropriate area for construction, with the needed infrastructure has been guaranteed both taxation benefits and partial financing.

Brazilian businessmen show a serious interest in Coral’s water purifier Electus. Currently negotiations are on the way regarding local testing and following certification, which will allow Electus sales in Brazil. The contract may be followed by a construction of a facility in Brazil which will produce the product for the local market.

Positive news from Great Britain! One of the top managers of ITI Energy – a waste to energy company (UK) has visited the main office of Coral GROUP in Dnepropetrovsk. After a visit to the semi-industrial unit for WAT processes and familiarisation with the technology, Mr. Fordham has said: “I have read a lot about your technology but didn’t believe it to be real. I now see that the technology does indeed exist and works!” Mr. Fordham has declared his intension to proceed and to do all that he can for a construction of an industrial facility in the UK.

New visitors. The head of a company dealing with tyre recycling for several years in Brazil have paid a visit to Coral. “I have never seen such a technology. The technology is indeed real and really does work.”  The result of the visit didn’t end only in flattery, but an MOU has been signed for the realisation of the project in Brazil – a construction of four facilities is being considered, were most of Brazil’s WAT will be reprocessed into final products!

Coral’s high efficiency water purifier Electus is conquering the international market. The product produced by Coral GROUP is constantly drawing attention from international businessman. Our Canadian partners have declared their intention to start Electus sales in Canada. An agreement has been signed to tests the product in the Canadian standards association and satisfy Electus, which will allow sales of the product in Canada and countries of Americas. The plan for the future include, not only sales of the product but a possible construction of a factories for Electus production in Canada and Trinidad and Tobacco.

Good news from the United Kingdom. A used tyres collection company Riverside has guaranteed the supply of WAT (as raw material for the future recycling facility) in quantity of 10,000 tonnes a month, which fully meets the needs of the facility in question. The collector’s guarantees have been declared in an appropriate guarantee letter.

The largest Ukrainian tyre manufacturer Dnepropshina has carried out a set of experiments on the carbon filler produced in Coral’s technology for tyre recycling. The results are more than positive. According to the physical and mechanical properties, Coral’s carbon filler can be classified as a low and mid strengthening carbon black, which is used in parts of tyres, heavy tyres and numerous rubber products.

The new year begins with positive news. Negotiations with two international companies yield a long awaited result. During a one week visit to Coral’s facilities in Dnepropetrovsk entrepreneurs from Canada and the United Kingdom have inspected the technology for recycling of WAT, and have been positively impressed. MOUs with both parties have been signed and actual work on the realisation of the projects in both Canada and the UK will commence shortly. In the coming months sites are to be chosen in both countries for the construction of WAT recycling facilities, government support is to be secured and contracts for tire gathering and storage are on their way.

Its goal is to provide the public (both in the private and public sectors) with the most up-to-date information about the economic and environmental benefits of tire retreading and tire repairing. One of the Holding’s technical projects – reprocessing of heavy fuels has been realised. The first facility has finished construction. The facility is capable of reprocessing more than 7000 tonnes of heavy fuels which are usually used for heat production, into light diesel fuel used for motor vehicles and in industry. The facility is now working at semi-full load and will reach its full capacity by the end of the year.

For the last 8 month a large international financial consulting company KPMG has preformed analysis on both financial and technical potential of the technology for recycling of worn-out automobile tires developed by the Coral Group. During this period a separate technical evaluation was performed by one of the world’s leading tire equipment manufacturers and consultants. The above efforts were does as preparation for the world market exit of this technology. As of September 2009 this process is officially over and the technology is market ready. Several types of projects, for deferent capacities were examined and optimal construction solution found. Coral and its business developers KPMG are hoping that first international projects will be realised as early as next year. Several international presentations both in Europe and in the USA are planned for early 2010.

SABS – South African Bureau of Standards have preformed an official audit of the coagulant Electus – drinking water purifier. The audit showed no inconsistencies with the South African standards of production and quality control. Coral expects to be SABS satisfied for sales in the RSA and the African continent within several weeks. The producing company Coral Technology LTD. and its South African partner Imbewu are to sign a joint sales plan next month.

An independent expert from tire world industry company Pelmar Engineering have visited Coral’s semi-industrial site in Dnepropetrovsk and preformed preliminary testing of the new developed technology. After discussing several issues, the expert has deemed the technological solution and its technical implementation to have several major advantages over today’s methods, and has predicted a bright future for its large scale implementation.

Coral GROUP has decided to implement the newly developed method for reprocessing of heavy oils into motor fuels in industrial scale. This month, construction work has began on a mid size industrial facility in Ukraine. The facility, which should start operations in September this year, will process more that 5000 tons of heavy oils, and produce a similar amount of Diesel fuel for industrial and agricultural use.

KPMG has finished its analysis of the financial potential of the technology for recycling of worn-out automobile tires, and have preformed technology valuation. After a three day visit to Ukraine, representatives of the consulting company have ask Coral GROUP to involve an outside expert in tire technology, to evaluate the potential of the innovative method and to grant his professional opinion on the subject of use of this technology in industrial scale worldwide.

One of the research groups has completed a significant stage of development in the field of sulphur reduction in refined oil products. The method can be used to reduce the sulphur content of self produced products, such as Gasoline, Diesel and Petroleum solvents in the technology of recycling of worn-out automobile tires, as well as in traditional distillation processed for natural oil.

The SABS – South African Bureau of Standards have tested the product Electus, for purification of drinking water, and favourable results have been gathered. It is expected, that SABS will send representative to Ukraine for and official audit of the production facility in Dnepropetrovsk, which will lead to the issue of permanent South African standard for the product.

For the past several month, specialists for several divisions of Coral GROUP have been working on an innovative method of converting heavy oils into usable motor fuels. These heavy oils – most commonly a left over part of traditional oil refinement process, are usually used as low price source of heat. The new technique allows reprocessing these oils into several sort of diesel fuel. The process uses several self-developed additives, which allow the conversion to happen,  without use of extreme heat, which is sometimes used to for further distillation of these oils on oil refineries.

An MAU has been sighed with a South African company Imbewu Mineral Recourses, on sales of the coagulant Electus – the drinking water purifier in Southern Africa. Imbewu is planning to start sales of the product in the RSA by the third quarter of 2009. Several tests have been performed on tap waters in South Africa as well as on waters from the Black River. The tests show a high potential for the drinking water purifier, to be used a high quality efficient method of purification for villages and small town, with problematic clean water supply.

Coral GROUP has decided to involve KPMG consulting company as its financial advisor. On the first stage, the consulting company will perform economical validation analysis of the technology for recycling of worn-out automobile tires, and handle the financial documentation for all the upcoming projects involving this technology. It is planed, on a later stage, to involve KPMG in other projects as well, so KPMG can become a permanent financial advisor for the entire holding.

A new development in the “anti-penetration materials” technology has been announced. A new non chemical polymeric rapping material has been implemented, that will come instead of the previously used chemical type wrappings. The new material will has several advantages, among which its high elasticity, cheapness of production and ecological cleanliness. Instead of using chemical compounds to expose penetration, the new material achieves the same result by its unique mechanical properties. The first machines are expected to be completed within several months.

After two mutual visits of representatives of the holding to the Republic of South Africa and vice versa, a new destination for the tire recycling technology has been established. Coral GROUP has decided to cooperate with Imbewu Mineral Resources. The two companies have decided to cooperate for the construction of a tire recycling facility in South Africa. During the visit of Coral’s representatives to the country several locations were discussed. A preliminary decision has been made, to investigate the possibility of construction in the province of the Northern Cape, near the city of De Aar. The central location of the small city (population of 27,000) is essential for the transportation of tires, not only from other


provinces , but possibly for the nearby countries as well. A construction of this kind, will not only benefit the environment of RSA and help solve the problem of WAT accumulation, but will also provide hundreds of South African with new job opportunities. It is expected that the engineering phase of the project will start by the end of this year, and construction itself can begin as early as May 2009.

The BOD of Coral GROUP has officially enounced the beginning of construction of the first large scale tire recycling facility based on the WAT recycling technology. The facility’s capacity is set on 100,000 tons a year. The construction itself will start yearly next year, and the facility should be fully operational on fall 2010.
